**Cashier Job Description**

**Position Title**: Cashier

**Job Summary**: As a cashier, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers have a positive shopping experience. You will be responsible for processing transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit and debit card transactions, and maintaining a friendly and welcoming atmosphere at the checkout area.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Greet customers as they enter and exit the store.
- Scan and accurately process items for purchase.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions, and provide change and receipts.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Assist customers with questions, concerns, and product information.
- Ensure all prices and quantities are accurate.
- Manage the cash register and balance cash drawers at the end of each shift.
- Follow all store policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.
- Assist with restocking shelves and organizing merchandise when needed.
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous cashier experience is preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Basic math skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift light to moderate weight.

**Working Conditions**:

- Retail environment with varying hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Standing for extended periods.
- Interaction with a diverse customer base.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
