**Project Overview**

This project aims to build public support for Karnataka's Active Mobility Bill by engaging key stakeholders: the corporate sector, resident associations, and student communities. The campaign runs primarily on Instagram, with additional presence on X, LinkedIn, and YouTube. It also includes on-site events and activations throughout the campaign period.

**What Is the Karnataka Active Mobility Bill?**

The Active Mobility Bill has been drafted to protect the rights of pedestrians and cyclists in Karnataka's urban areas. The Bill mandates Urban Local Bodies (such as BBMP and town municipal councils) to design accessible infrastructure for pedestrians and cyclists while ensuring their safety in urban spaces.

**Who's Behind This Campaign?**

**What is Pedaluru?**

Pedaluru is a citizen-driven, non-profit campaign dedicated to promoting cycling in Bengaluru. Co-founded by Sathya Sankaran, the city's Bicycle Mayor, and Susheel Nair, Founder/CEO of Artand, the initiative aims to build a strong, resilient cycling community. Through quarterly events and a marquee World Bicycle Day celebration each June, Pedaluru advocates for cycling infrastructure and culture, with the ultimate goal of making Bengaluru the cycling capital of India.

- **Job Title: Videographer cum Editor - Active Mobility Campaign**
- Conceptualize, script, shoot, and edit high-quality video content (short-form and long-form) that showcases the benefits of cycling and walking in Bengaluru.
- Develop a content calendar to ensure consistent posting on Instagram and other social media platforms.
- Collaborate with the campaign team to understand the target audience, their preferences, and the campaign's objectives.
- Conduct location scouting, manage logistics, and coordinate with talent (if required) for video shoots.
- Operate camera equipment, such as DSLRs, mirrorless cameras, or 4K-resolution cameras, to capture high-quality footage along with lighting and sound requirements.
- Edit video footage using Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve to create engaging, informative, and viral content.
- Add visual effects, motion graphics, and animations to enhance the video content.
- Ensure all video content meets the brand's guidelines, tone, and style.
- Optimize video content for Instagram, including formatting, captioning, and hash-tagging.
- Monitor video performance, track engagement metrics, and provide insights for future content improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest video trends, best practices, and platform-specific requirements.
- 2+ years of experience in videography and video editing, preferably in a similar role or industry.
- Portfolio that showcases your ability to create engaging, informative, and viral video content.
- Proficiency in operating camera equipment, such as DSLRs, mirrorless cameras, or 4K-resolution cameras.
- Expertise in video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve (or any other equivalent).
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling, narrative structure, and pacing.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with the campaign team and talent.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality video content.
- Familiarity with Instagram and other social media platforms, including their features, algorithms, and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Film, Video Production, Communications, or a related field (optional).
- Experience with motion graphics, animation, and AI visual effects.
- Knowledge of color grading, sound design, and audio editing.
- Familiarity with 360-degree video, virtual reality (VR), or augmented reality (AR) content creation.
- Ability to speak Kannada and understand local (pop) culture, trends, influencers and sensitivities.
- Owns good quality camera and tripods, has licensed editing software and a competent system to work in and a good internet connection to transfer large, hi-res files.
- Certification in videography, video editing, or a related field.
