Position: Junior Embryologist

Location: MIRAYA IVF, GOVINDPURAM, GHAZIABAD

Role Overview

The Junior Embryologist will support the IVF laboratory team in performing essential clinical and laboratory tasks to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. This role involves assisting in embryology and andrology procedures, maintaining laboratory equipment, and adhering to the highest standards of laboratory practice.

Key Responsibilities

1. Embryology Laboratory Procedures:

- Assist in oocyte retrieval and identification.
- Perform semen analysis, preparation, and cryopreservation.
- Support senior embryologists during fertilization processes such as ICSI or conventional IVF.
- Monitor embryo development and assist with embryo grading.
- Aid in embryo freezing and thawing processes.

2. Andrology Laboratory Procedures:

- Conduct semen diagnostic tests (e.g., motility, morphology).
- Prepare semen samples for intrauterine insemination (IUI) or IVF.

3. Laboratory Maintenance and Compliance:

- Maintain cleanliness and sterility of laboratory equipment and workspace.
- Perform daily equipment checks and quality control.
- Ensure adherence to laboratory protocols and regulatory requirements.

4. Patient Interaction:

- Communicate courteously with patients during sample collection.
- Provide clear and empathetic guidance regarding procedures as needed.

5. Documentation and Reporting:

- Record laboratory data accurately and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Assist in preparing reports for review by senior staff.

Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Reproductive Science, or related field.
- Technical Skills:

- Basic knowledge of embryology and andrology techniques.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and sterile practices.
- Attention to detail and manual dexterity for handling delicate specimens.
- Soft Skills:

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work under supervision and willingness to learn advanced techniques.
- Empathy and professionalism when interacting with patients.

Experience
- 0-2 years of experience in an IVF laboratory or similar role.

- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, if required.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in all laboratory practices.
