**Job Summary**:
The Confectionary Chef is responsible for creating and producing high-quality pastries, desserts, fast foods and other confectionery items. This role requires a strong foundation in baking and pastry arts, a creative flair, and a meticulous attention to detail.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Production**:
- Produce a wide range of pastries, desserts, fast foods and confectionery items, including cakes, cookies, pies, tarts, chocolates, puffs, sandwiches, burgers and other specialty items.
- Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair and precision.
- Ensure the consistent quality and presentation of all confectionery items.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- **Recipe Development**:
- Develop and test new recipes.
- Experiment with new flavors and techniques to enhance the product line.
- **Inventory Management**:
- Assist in ordering and maintaining inventory of baking supplies and ingredients.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure adequate supplies for production.
- **Teamwork**:
- Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Train and mentor junior pastry chefs or baking assistants.
- **Quality Control**:
- Ensure the quality and freshness of all baked goods.
- Conduct regular quality checks and taste tests.
**Qualifications**:
- Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts, Pastry Arts, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Main Chef.
- Strong baking and pastry skills, including cake decorating and fast food preparation.
- Creative flair and artistic ability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong work ethic and a passion for baking.
