**Job description**

**Job location: CHENNAI**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate manual or CNC lathe machines to manufacture shafts, rollers, bushings, and other rotating parts.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and mechanical blueprints to ensure accurate machining.
- Set up machines, select appropriate tools, and monitor operations to meet tight tolerances.
- Inspect and measure finished components using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Perform regular machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and follow safe machining practices.
- Collaborate with the fabrication and assembly teams to ensure timely part availability.

**Requirements**:

- 1+ years of proven experience operating lathe machines (manual or CNC).
- Strong understanding of turning operations, speeds, feeds, and cutting tools.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and part specifications.
- Familiarity with materials such as mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and use of precision measuring instruments.
- Good physical stamina and attention to detail.
- Technical diploma or ITI certificate in machining or mechanical trades is a plus.

**Preferred**:

- Experience in the machinery or conveyor manufacturing industry.
- Ability to work on both conventional and CNC lathe machines.
- Willingness to assist with fitting or light fabrication tasks as needed.
