Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Assist customers with inquiries, provide product information, and offer assistance with purchases.
Transaction Processing:
Accurately and efficiently process sales transactions, including cash, credit/debit cards, and other forms of payment.
Ensure that correct change is given and receipts are provided.
Cash Handling:
Handle cash responsibly, count money accurately, and reconcile cash drawer at the beginning and end of the shift.
Maintain the security of the cash register and follow cash handling procedures.
Product Knowledge:
Stay informed about products and promotions to effectively assist customers.
Provide information on pricing, discounts, and product availability.
Maintaining Checkout Area:
Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and well-stocked.
Arrange merchandise neatly, and remove expired or damaged items.
Upselling and Cross-Selling:
Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell products to enhance the customer's shopping experience.
Promote loyalty programs or special promotions to customers.
Adherence to Policies:
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Follow security and safety protocols to prevent theft and maintain a secure working environment.
Handling Customer Concerns:
Resolve customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
Escalate issues to the supervisor or manager when necessary.

Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous cashier or customer service experience is preferred.
Strong numerical and cash-handling skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in transaction processing.
Ability to handle stressful situations and maintain composure.
