**Job Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:

- **Inventory Management**:

- Receive, inspect, and record all incoming timber, hardware, and other materials, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Organize and store materials in a systematic and accessible manner within the godown, ensuring proper handling and preservation to prevent damage or deterioration.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all stock, including quantities, types, and locations, using manual or digital inventory systems.
- Conduct regular stock checks and physical inventories to reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and inventory records.
- Monitor stock levels and proactively inform management when reordering is necessary to avoid shortages.
- Prepare and issue materials to authorized personnel or departments based on requisitions or work orders, ensuring accurate quantities are released and documented.
- Track and report any damaged, expired, or obsolete materials.
- **Godown Management**:

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the godown premises.
- Ensure the security of the godown and its contents at all times.
- Control access to the godown and maintain a log of entries and exits if required.
- Perform basic maintenance and upkeep of the storage area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
- **Record Keeping and Documentation**:

- Maintain accurate records of all inward and outward stock movements, including GRNs (Goods Received Notes) and material issue slips.
- Prepare regular inventory reports for management as required.
- Assist in the preparation of purchase orders and other related documentation.
- **Coordination**:

- Communicate effectively with suppliers, purchase department, and other relevant teams regarding material deliveries and requirements.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of materials as needed.
- **24/7 Premises Residence**:

- Reside on the godown premises full-time to ensure the security of the stock and facilitate any urgent material requirements outside of regular working hours.
- Be available to handle any unforeseen circumstances or emergencies related to the godown and its contents.

**Requirements**:

- Must be a local resident of Pune.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills are essential.
- Previous experience in storekeeping or warehouse management is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to lift and handle heavy timber and materials safely.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Responsible, reliable, and trustworthy.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Willingness to reside on the godown premises 24/7.
- Basic understanding of inventory management principles.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Familiarity with inventory management software or basic computer skills for record-keeping.
- Experience in the timber or related industry.

**Working Conditions**:

- The work may involve physical activity, including lifting and moving timber and other materials.
