**1. Machine Setup & Operation**
- Operate the Vertical Turret Lathe as per production requirements.
- Load raw materials (castings, forgings, etc.) onto the machine securely.
- Select, set, and align cutting tools as per job specifications.
- Adjust machine settings, speeds, and feeds based on the component drawing.
- Perform trial cuts and verify dimensions before bulk production.

**2. Production & Quality**
- Ensure components are produced within the specified tolerance.
- Inspect dimensions using measuring instruments (Vernier, micrometer, bore gauge, dial gauge, etc.).
- Maintain production output as per daily/shift targets.
- Record production data in log sheets.

**3. Maintenance & Safety**
- Perform routine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance of the VTL machine.
- Report any machine malfunction, abnormal noise, or breakdown immediately.
- Follow proper handling procedures for tools and workpieces.
- Adhere to workplace safety standards (PPE, housekeeping, accident prevention).

**4. Process Compliance**
- Follow machining process sheets, drawings, and work instructions strictly.
- Ensure proper clamping and alignment of workpieces.
- Reduce wastage by optimizing material usage and tool life.
- Support continuous improvement in machining processes.

**5. Teamwork & Documentation**
- Coordinate with supervisors, programmers, and quality inspectors.
- Report completed jobs, rejections, and pending operations at shift handover.
- Maintain discipline and workplace etiquette.
