**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
**For Commis 1 (Senior-level)**:

- Prepare, marinate, and cook a variety of tandoori dishes including meats, breads (naan, roti), and vegetables using the tandoor oven.
- Ensure proper temperature and firing of the tandoor oven for consistent cooking results.
- Follow standardized recipes and portion sizes for consistency.
- Maintain mise en place and ensure timely preparation during service hours.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the tandoor station and related areas.
- Support the Chef de Partie or Tandoor Chef with inventory and ordering.
- Train and guide junior staff or Commis 2 in tandoor operations and food hygiene.

**For Commis 2 (Junior-level)**:

- Assist in preparing marinades, dough, skewering meats, and other mise en place for the tandoor section.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness of the workstation and utensils.
- Help in firing the tandoor oven under supervision and learn tandoor cooking techniques.
- Follow instructions from Commis 1 or Tandoor Chef and assist during busy service periods.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and handled hygienically.

**Qualifications**:

- Prior experience in tandoor or Indian kitchen preferred (Commis 1: 2+ years; Commis 2: 0-1 year).
- Knowledge of Indian spices, marinades, and tandoor cooking techniques.
- Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety standards.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in a hot and fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Team player with a willingness to learn and grow in the culinary field.

**Education**:

- No formal education required; a culinary diploma or training in Indian cuisine is a plus.

**Working Conditions**:

- Physically demanding role requiring standing for long periods and working near high heat.
- Shift-based schedule, including weekends and public holidays.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
