**Role: Chief Operating Officer - IOK**

**Grade**:M2/M3

**Key Responsibilities**:
Responsible for leading end-to-end mining operations with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include:

- **Safety, Risk & Compliance**: Champion a zero-harm culture by enforcing safety protocols, conducting audits, and promoting behavioral safety. Foster positive industrial relations through regular engagement with union members, staff, and workmen.
- **VSAP Implementation**: Lead the implementation of Vedanta Sustainability Assurance Program (VSAP) standards to ensure operational excellence and regulatory compliance.
- **Production & Dispatch**: Drive achievement of Run-of-Mine (ROM) production targets and ensure efficient dispatch operations aligned with business goals.
- **Operations & Maintenance**: Oversee all operational and maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability, availability, and optimal performance.
- **Leadership in Safety Culture**: Demonstrate visual felt leadership and continuously improve safety practices through benchmarking and procedural reviews.
- **Continuous Improvement & Asset Optimization**: Mentor teams on cost optimization and efficiency projects. Promote a culture of Total Quality Management (TQM) and lead asset optimization initiatives.
- **Quality Management**: Implement and monitor quality standards to enhance product quality and meet customer expectations.
- ** Strategic Execution**: Act as a key sponsor for operational strategy and ensure timely execution of asset optimization plans at the site.

**Qualification and Experience**:

- B.E./B.Tech in Mining with First Class Mines Manager Certificate with minimum 15 years of relevant experience with sound knowledge of relevant mining legal statute.
