Snowflake Developer
Role Profile
The Snowflake Developer is responsible for designing, developing and implementing technical solutions from both Solution Architecture Designs (SADs) and Proof of Concept (PoC) outlines.
This role will be responsible for supporting Data Enablement team in delivering best of breed technical practice based around Snowflake Data Warehouse core toolset. Additionally, this role will liaise directly with Snowflake technical teams for PoC work on Private Preview functionality leading to demonstration of new Snowflake capabilities to a wide audience. This role may require team leadership of external resources
This vacancy is available at London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) based in our Nottingham campus.
- Responsibilities
- Design, develop and implement SAD approved capability using agreed tooling and techniques into Corporate Data Cloud
- Ensure all deliverables conform to security, infrastructure, product and other internal requirements
- Maintain system documentation in conformance with LSEG requirements
- Become Snowflake SME within Corporate Data Cloud team capable of explaining our product suite and engaging with wide audience
- Contribute to the Centre for Enablement delivering:
- Preferred integration patterns
- Identify and promote best practice
- Advice, guide and assistance to disparate teams seeking integration
- Contribute to evolving LSEG policies and standards
- Work with Snowflake technical delivery teams on Private Preview enhancements delivering PoC outcomes for LSEG
- Ensure that all processes and documentation are adequate and effective to meet support and audit requirements
- Provide frequent status reporting to Stakeholders
- Minimum 6 years of industry experience, preferably in financial services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good understanding of data through previous hands-on contributions to design, development and implementation of IT systems.
- Proactive, determined and resilient, with a positive attitude.
- Extensive and demonstrable problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
