Role Description

A Reinforced Earth Wall (RE Wall) Designer is responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of reinforced earth walls, which are structures used to sustain soil laterally and retain it at different levels on both sides of a carriageway. Here are some key responsibilities and qualifications for this role:
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Designing RE Walls**: Creating detailed designs and plans for reinforced earth walls, including selecting appropriate materials and reinforcement methods

**Geotechnical Analysis**: Conducting geotechnical analysis to ensure the stability and safety of the RE wall structure

**Project Management**: Overseeing the construction process, ensuring that the project is completed on time and within budget.

**Quality Control**: Implementing quality control measures to ensure that the construction meets all design specifications and safety standards.

**Collaboration**: Working closely with other engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of the project.

**Qualifications**:
**Educational Background**: A degree in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, or a related field.

**Experience**: Previous experience in designing and constructing reinforced earth walls or similar structures.

**Technical Skills**: Proficiency in **design software**such as **MicroStation** or **AutoCAD.**

**Certifications**: Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification is preferred.

**Knowledge of Materials**: Understanding of materials used in RE wall construction, such as precast panels, reinforcement materials, and drainage media.

Additional qualifications that. would be beneficial include knowledge of geotechnical, environmental, and structural works, proficiency in relevant software, and experience in project management
