**Roles and Responsibilities**:
**Payment Recovery**:

- **Debt Collection**: Develop and execute strategies for collecting overdue payments from clients, including negotiation and settlement options.
- **Legal Actions**: Prepare and file legal claims or lawsuits for debt recovery; manage the litigation process and coordinate with external legal counsel as needed.
- **Documentation Review**: Analyze contracts, payment terms, and related documents to determine recovery options and prepare necessary legal documentation.
- **Client Interaction**: Engage with clients and debtors to resolve payment issues, handle disputes, and negotiate settlements.
- **Compliance**: Ensure all collection activities adhere to applicable laws and regulations, including debt collection practices.

**General Legal Support**:

- **Contract Drafting and Review**: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure they are legally sound and aligned with company policies.
- **Regulatory Compliance**: Assist in ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards; support regulatory filings and audits.
- **Legal Advisory**: Provide legal advice and guidance on various business matters, including risk management, compliance issues, and strategic decisions.
- **Dispute Resolution**: Assist with resolving legal disputes and handling any legal issues that may arise, including mediation and arbitration.
- **Intellectual Property**: Provide support in managing intellectual property matters, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution. Admission to the bar in [relevant jurisdiction] is preferred.
- **Experience**: Minimum 5 years of legal experience with a focus on debt recovery, contract law, and general legal support.
- **Specialization**: Expertise in payment recovery and familiarity with a broad range of legal areas relevant to the company’s needs.
- **Skills**:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Proficiency in legal research and document preparation
- Ability to handle multiple legal tasks and prioritize effectively
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality
- Attention to detail and accuracy in legal documentation

**Additional Requirements**:

- Availability to work on a freelance basis and manage various legal responsibilities.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
- Strong organizational skills and capacity to meet deadlines under pressure.
