Clinical Assistant

**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures in an outpatient setting.
- Administer medications as directed by physicians, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including medical history and treatment plans.
- Prepare examination rooms by cleaning and organizing equipment and supplies.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care, treatment options, and follow-up instructions.
- Support the clinical team during procedures by providing necessary instruments and assistance.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and report any significant changes to the supervising healthcare provider.
- Uphold strict confidentiality standards in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

**Requirements**:

- Proficiency in medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the clinical environment.
- Experience or knowledge in medication administration practices is preferred.
- Familiarity with anatomy and physiology to assist in patient assessments and procedures.
- Previous experience in an outpatient setting, particularly within dermatology or trauma care, is a plus.
- Understanding of geriatrics to cater to the needs of older patients effectively.
- Experience working in a Level I Trauma Center or similar hospital environment is advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while providing compassionate patient care.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with patients of diverse backgrounds effectively.
