Effectively lead the Accounting function of the Centre
Guide and train Accounts and Programme Management Support Unit (PMSU) teams in carrying out Accounting and Project finance functions
- Establish, follow, review and update Accounts and Finance systems
- Provide accurate and timely Accounts and Finance related information for necessary decision making
- Supervise the Programme Management Support Unit (PMSU) and coordinate with Accounts and Programmes
- Prepare necessary papers, financial management related data analysis, required for liaisoning with the partners and funding agencies including Government.
- Be responsible for handling accounts and finance related queries from the funding agencies
- Manage Internal Audit/Statutory Audit, Project Audit and C&AG Audit and compliance of their queries etc.
- Coordination with PDs on matters related to programme budgets, Programme Bank Accounts operations, receipt and recovery of project grants, etc.
- Take lead in developing, suggesting and following up Accounts and Finance related rules, systems and procedure from time to time
- Manage relationship with internal/external auditors and tax consultants
- If required, coordinate with external agencies including project funding agencies, along with the PD
- Take charge of online accounting system/Tally and ERP
- Review of month/year-end journal entries and trial balance as well as finalization of I/E
- Making of the final Balance Sheet

The job role of Accounts head involves handling:

- Annual Budget of about 40 - 50 crore
- Salary payment to about 300 staff members
- Maintain accounts and systems for handling Accounts at Ahmedabad office, 6 regional cells and about 10 state offices,
- About 100- 150 projects running at a given point in time
- Over 15 Bank Accounts—Ahmedabad and other locations
- Supervising a team of about 10-15 persons in Accounts and PMSU teams
- Internal allocation of work
- Willing to Travel
- Able to handle Statutory Audit/Project Audit, Internal Audit

C.A. with 15 plus years’ experience OR Master’s in Commerce degree plus diploma in Office Admin. or Management or equivalent with 15 years experience with senior level experience in handling institutional accounts. Experience in Development & NGO Sector preferred Consolidated Salary in the range of Rs 90000 till 132000 per month
