Maths Faculty

As the Academic coordinator in Mathematics, you will play a crucial role in leading and overseeing the mathematical department's educational programs and initiatives. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the delivery of high-quality instruction and foster a stimulating and supportive learning environment for students and faculty members alike.

Key Responsibilities:

- Curriculum Development: Design, develop, and update the mathematics curriculum in line with academic standards and educational best practices. Ensure that the curriculum is comprehensive, up-to-date, and aligned with the institution's objectives and requirements.
- Instructional Leadership: Provide guidance and support to mathematics faculty members, promoting effective teaching methodologies and incorporating innovative approaches to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. Foster a collaborative and inclusive teaching environment.
- Faculty Management: Recruit, train, and mentor mathematics faculty members, evaluating their performance and providing constructive feedback for professional growth. Encourage continuous professional development by organizing workshops, seminars, and conferences.
- Academic Planning: Collaborate with other academic heads and administrators to develop academic plans, set goals, and establish strategies to achieve excellence in mathematics education. Contribute to the overall academic direction of the institution.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality assurance measures to ensure the highest standards of education in mathematics. Conduct periodic evaluations and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Student Support: Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students, providing guidance, counseling, and academic support as needed. Monitor student progress and implement intervention strategies where necessary.
- Research and Innovation: Promote a culture of research and innovation within the mathematics department. Encourage faculty members to engage in research activities, publish scholarly articles, and participate in academic conferences.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with other academic departments, school leadership, parents, and external partners to foster interdisciplinary connections and create opportunities for collaboration. Represent the mathematics department in meetings and events.

**Requirements**:

- B.Sc,M.Sc or B.ed in mathematics
- Previous teaching experience in mathematics at the higher education level.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate faculty members and students.
- Excellent knowledge of curriculum development and educational best practices in mathematics.
- Proficient in the use of technology for instructional purposes.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and engage with stakeholders.
- Research experience and a record of scholarly contributions are desirable.
