**Job description**
- Keeping the ward clean and tidy. Daily cleaning of the ward equipment, signing the checklist and getting it counter signed by the nursing superintendent.
- Taking over and handing over all the emergency drugs, equipment, registers, chargeable and non-chargeable items, CSSD items etc.
- Taking proper bed to bed over of the patient in detail & check the bed side equipment; inform the sister in charge if there is any fault.
- Preparation of nursing care plan and implementing according to priority needs
- Daily sponging, mouth care, back care, bed sore care, ET Tube care, central line care, catheter care, tracheotomy care as per protocol and change of all disposable items. Changing of bed sheet, pillow cover and patient uniform daily at instructed time.
- Check all the medicines prescribed by the consultant of the previous shift are given or not.
- Following doctor’s orders; give medication to the patient on time, to the right patient, after checking expiry date as per the medication chart.
- Close observation and monitoring of patient.
- Maintaining all charts (Treatment Chart, daily inventory chart, investigation chart, etc.)
- Proper hand washing at the start and end of duty time and before and after patient procedure. Follow proper hand hygiene (5momemts and 7steps).
- Dismantling the items after use and before cleaning
- Assisting doctors in various procedures like dressing, intubation, central line, tracheotomy, etc.
- Regular and on time completion of nursing assessment form, nursing reassessment form, progress sheet, monitoring chart and all nursing registers with proper patient IP and UHID number as per hospital standard.
- In case of LAMA, check whether LAMA form is filled in properly by the doctor and get it signed by the relative of patient.
- When the patient is getting discharged, issue no dues after checking the items in room and ensure that billing should be complete and discharge slip is attached to the file and get it counter checked by the matron/ICN.
- In case any medicines are left over when the patient is discharged, medicines are handed over to attendant and procedure for refund is explained.
- Pre-operative check list to be attached before sending the patient to OT and check the consent also.
- Helping the patient to take meals or feeding the patient if RT is present.
- Attending to all the needs of the patient.
- Prepared medical record file & submit to medical record department.
Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
