- To inspire, teach, and mentor the prospective nursing professionals, leading the way to the future of patient care methods, clinical skills and best collaboration practices.
- Assist nursing staff in developing and maintaining their competencies, advancing their professional nursing practice and facilitating their achievement of academic and career goals
**Main Job Tasks**:
- Responsible for the provision of nursing orientation and teaching and training programs based on perceived needs, together with continuing education for all nursing staff; facilitate a learning environment that supports all levels of nursing personnel and promotes evidence-based practice
- Develops educational goals that are congruent with the organization and the nursing departments mission, philosophy and strategic direction
- By participation in the work of the units, evaluates clinical standards and identifies areas of need for specific education and training for nursing staff and prepares and delivers the required program.
- Works collaboratively with clinical leadership to identify learning needs and provide learning opportunities and educational resources for staff in clinical area of responsibility
- Coordinates the provision for practical experience programs for registered nurses.
- Maintains a general ongoing continuing education program for all CDSIMER Nursing staff
- Specifically develops trans-cultural concepts in nursing care.
- Provides encouragement and assistance to nursing staff to maintain current knowledge in nursing practices and research.
- Participates in maintenance of uptodate nursing policies and procedures while demonstrating respect for the values of professional nursing, the conceptual framework in which it is practiced, and the values espoused by the CDSIMER Departments of Nursing, the hospital, and the medical center
- Acts as a Consultant to professional colleagues on all matters related to learning, and all matters that promote knowledge enhancement of nurses.
- Teaches the various theoretical and practical aspects of nursing care; teaches Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation to all qualified nurses.
- Plans educational activities that incorporate the nursing process, are based on current evidence and support excellence in nursing practice.
- Gives suggestions for the purchase of learning material and other education resources.
- Develops new courses for nursing staff and monitors their progress.
- Submits reports periodically to higher authorities on the progress of various nursing training activities.
- Ensures that all staff knows and understands departmental policies and procedures concerning CPR, file, disaster, emergency codes, etc.
- Follow all accreditation bodies standards related to work and participate actively in quality and performance improvement activities as guided by the Quality Management Department.
**Key Competencies/ Knowledge / Expertise**:
- Up-to-date knowledge and understanding of modern nursing procedures, protocols, and standards with specialists.
- Knowledge of nursing speciality
- Ability to provide operational guidance and leadership to technical staff in an area of specialty.
- Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.
- Ability to assess educational needs and design and develop responsible curricula.
- Working knowledge of the use of established care models in the development of education programs.
- Technical leadership skills within an area of expertise.
- Advanced nursing skills in an area of specialty.
- Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care programs.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present effectively to small and large groups.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment.
- Cognitive, effective and psycho motor skills necessary to provide clinical instruction and supervision.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Regular / Permanent
**Salary**: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
