Introduction:
The job holder will sit within the Barclays Group Service Company supporting the BI (Barclays International) & BUK (Barclays UK) entities. The holder of the role will have an excellent knowledge of the firm’s booking and operational systems

What will you be doing?

Model execution & Reporting
- Support the ALM Reporting CoE in the BAU cycle for QRM Production & Reporting and support change wherever required
- Ensure that the model execution & reporting is carried out efficiently, accurately and in a timely manner
- Ensure all reporting and MI produced is completed with effective controls and checks to ensure its accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure that all procedures and processes for monthly reporting are in place and are comprehensive
- Run effective set of control processes for balance sheet reconciliations and raise DQIs for exceptions
- Drive the remediation process through prioritisation of DQIs and facilitate closure
- Responsibly manage escalations across function to ensure appropriate resolution
- Work towards using technology and changing practices to proactively avoid control and reconciliation issues and be able to quickly identify cause of variance and critical areas of risk
- Ensure the integrated Status Report is maintained end to end
- Ensure the integrity of QRM output used by stakeholders, by completing and understanding data quality and consistency control checks pre, during and post model run
- When control checks are breached investigate and liaise with stakeholders to let them know the impact to their reporting
- Work on pre-model running processes used for hedging the IRRBB of each cluster
- Understand upstream data provider’s commitments, list of data files used in the model, and identify any ‘troublesome’ files / processes, and work with stakeholders to improve consistent reliable data delivery
- Log and respond to any stakeholder enquirers within a timely manner
- Risk and Control: All Barclays colleagues have to ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.

Transformation
- Support the leads in delivering the ALM transformation initiatives
- Develop testing strategies for the various transformation workstreams
- Document the testing outcomes of the transformation workstreams and ensure full adherence to the control standards

What we’re looking for:

- Excellent numeric and analytical skills;
- Ability to work as part of a team and add value to the development of the ALM function;
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, vlookups, sumifs etc.);
- Understanding and appreciation of an IT function within Finance/Treasury processes;
- Strong communication skills;
- Ability to explain complex ideas in simple language to stakeholders;

Skills that will help you in the role:

- MS Access, VBA, SQL an advantage;
- Knowledge of transfer pricing, liquidity or capital concepts an advantage.
- Basic understanding and appreciation of IRRBB and ALM;
