**Position Summary**:
**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a similar field

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Diagnose and fix complex hardware, software and network issues
- Installing and upgrading UNIX system software on servers
- Create/Modify UNIX file systems
- Setting up and maintaining UNIX user accounts and access management systems
- Implementing network and computer system policies
- Detecting and troubleshooting software and hardware issues
- Responding to user requests and software errors
- Monitoring the performance of the system and server
- SAMBA and FTP administration
- Troubleshooting knowledge on Linux for LDAP integration, NFS, NIS
- Experience of working on Linux systems on VMware as well as public clouds like AWS, OCI and Azure
- Knowledge of network concepts such as the TCP/IP stack, load balancing, firewalls, and iRules
- Knowledge of UNIX and LINUX operating systems, storage environments, file systems, and network protocols
- Detailed knowledge of UNIX principles, file editing, UNIX commands, and file manipulation
- Familiarity with UNIX, LINUX, and LINUX shell scripting
- Knowledge of networking principles including routing, subnets, TCP, IP, VLANs, and UDP
- Understanding of backup procedures and storage management
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- In-depth knowledge of computer hardware systems including circuit boards, memory modules, and processors
- ITIL Certified or a strong working knowledge of ITIL Incident, Problem and Change Management disciplines
- Ability to work under pressure and remain decisive.
- Should be able to train junior team members
- Having LINUX certification will be an added advantage
- Experience on working on Oracle hypervisor would be added advantage
