About the Role

We are looking for an experienced UI Designer to join our multidisciplinary team to create and manage a scalable design system. In this role, you will collaborate closely with designers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure consistency and efficiency in design across all platforms. The design system you develop will be a foundational tool used by other designers and developers to deliver cohesive, user friendly products.

Let’s talk about Responsibilities- Design System Creation: Lead the development and maintenance of a comprehensive design system, ensuring consistency across all UI components and patterns.- Collaboration: Work closely with product designers, UX researchers, and developers to align design system elements with product needs and technical feasibility.- Component Design: Design reusable components, UI patterns, and libraries that can be scaled and adapted across different platforms and products.- Documentation: Develop clear and detailed documentation for the design system to ensure it is easily understood and applied by designers and developers.- Prototyping & Testing: Build prototypes and conduct usability testing to validate and iterate on components before final implementation.- Feedback & Iteration: Collect feedback from design and development teams and continuously improve the design system based on evolving needs.- Quality Assurance: Review and ensure the implementation of design components meets the standards outlined in the design system.- Guidance & Support: Provide support and training to designers and developers on how to best use the design system.- Stay Current on UI Trends: Monitor industry trends, design tools, and best practices to keep the design system modern and efficient.

Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience

**Required Skills**:
- UI Design Expertise: Deep understanding of visual design principles including layout, typography, color theory, and interaction design.- Design Systems: Experience in building, scaling, and maintaining design systems for cross platform use.- Proficiency in Design Tools: Mastery of Figma for creating and managing design components.- Collaboration with Developers: Strong experience working with frontend developers to ensure that UI components are implemented as intended.- Design Documentation: Ability to create comprehensive and clear documentation for both designers and developers.- Cross platform Design: Experience designing UI components that are adaptable for web, mobile, and other digital platforms.- Attention to Detail: Strong eye for detail, ensuring consistency across all UI elements.- Communication & Presentation Skills: Ability to present and explain design system components to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.- Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills, able to address challenges in system design and implementation.- 3+ years of experience in UI design, with a focus on creating design systems or component libraries.- Proven experience working within a multidisciplinary team including product designers, UX researchers, and developers.- A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in UI design and design system work.
