**Jewelry Assorter**

The Diamond Assorter is responsible for carefully inspecting,

evaluating, and sorting diamonds according to their cut, clarity, colour, and carat

weight. This highly specialized role requires exceptional attention to detail and

expertise in gemological assessment. The Diamond Assorter plays a crucial part

in the diamond supply chain, ensuring that each diamond is accurately classified

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Thoroughly examine each diamond using specialized gemological equipment and techniques
- Assess and document the key characteristics of each diamond, including cut, clarity, colour, and carat weight
- Sort diamonds into precise categories and grades based on established industry standards
- Collaborate with other members of the diamond processing team to ensure efficient workflow
- Maintain comprehensive, meticulous records of all diamond evaluations and sortings
- Adhere to strict quality control measures and security protocols to prevent mix-ups or losses
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in diamond assessment

**Required Skills and Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in gemology, chemistry, or a related scientific field
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a diamond grader or diamond sorter
- Comprehensive knowledge of the 4Cs (cut, clarity, color, carat) and their

impact on diamond quality
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in using specialized diamond assessment tools and equipment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity and security
