**General SEO Intern Job Role**

**Key Responsibilities often include**:

- **Keyword Research**: Using tools like Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush, or Ahrefs to identify valuable search terms and trends that people are using.
- **On-Page Optimization**: Assisting with the optimization of website content, including meta tags, headers, and internal linking strategies, to make it more search-engine friendly.
- **Content Optimization**: Working with content creators to ensure that new and existing content is optimized for target keywords and user experience.
- **Link Building**: Helping with outreach efforts to build high-quality backlinks, which are links from other websites that help improve a site's authority.
- **Technical SEO Audits**: Assisting in performing technical audits of the website to identify and fix issues that could negatively impact SEO performance, such as broken links or slow page speed.
- **Data Analysis and Reporting**: Using tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console to monitor website performance, analyze data, and report on key metrics such as organic traffic and keyword rankings.
