What will you contribute:
Expert Automation Architect take ownership for preparing test automation solution, designing automation frameworks and lead the implementation of test strategy, test plans & test execution that are aligned with standards and procedures at Finastra.

Role and Responsibilities

The deliverables of an Expert Automation Architect will include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Take ownership for preparing test automation solution, designing automation frameworks and lead the implementation of test strategy, test plans & test execution
- Support automation script development and the optimization of those scripts while enabling teams to use them and enhance them
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to strategize & align long term solution for test automation including roadmap, tools, framework & approach
- Recommend new tools, techniques and methodologies needed to enhance productivity and quality
- Work with QA team for resolution of technical issues in the product as needed
- Develop automation strategy to support regression testing based on the technical analysis, complexity, and reusability
- Take responsibility for test infrastructure including environments and software, liaising with teams such as DevOps and IT Support
- Provide technical know-how, documentation, and training to QA and other business functions
- Stay up to speed on process, practice, and technology developments to ensure they are brought in-house and enhance the solutions applied to the testing problems
- Ability to do quick POC’s and provide better solutions
- Possess broad awareness of testing approaches, practices, and techniques to help design and deliver the overall testing methodology used by the team
- Monitor the effectiveness of the testing function and bring about improvements through insights gained via analysis at all stages of the SDLC/STLC
- Identify what tools and technologies can be implemented, aligning with that already used across the broader development function and in line with the skill set of the team
- Follow the software development lifecycle process.

Job Requirements
- Engineering graduate
- 10+ years of active hands-on experience in at least one of the programming languages like Java, python is a must.
- Strong experience with both relational and non-relation databases
- Expert in automation frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, Selenium
- UI and/or API level test automation expertise
- Experience with web service technology like XML, REST, SOAP
- Knowledge of software development methodologies, software development lifecycle and Agile/SAFe
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis abilities.
- Good knowledge of basic DevOps and CICD pipelines
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently or within a team environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

**Nice to have**:

- Knowledge in security testing, performance testing, performance tuning is a definite plus.
- Knowledge of Azure technologies and experience on containerization with Docker, Kubernetes is a nice to have
- Passion for achieving excellence in technical, process, product quality and reliability
