**Position Title: VMC Machine Programmer and Operator**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Set up and operate VMC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, milling, tapping, and turning.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) specifications.
- Program machines using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Gibbs CAM) based on job requirements.
- Select and modify cutting tools and tool paths to optimize machining processes.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure parts conform to quality standards and tolerances.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machines to ensure operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues as they arise to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize and manage workload effectively.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a VMC machine programmer and operator in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in setting up, programming, and operating vertical machining centres (VMC).
- Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software and the ability to read technical drawings.
- Ability to perform quality control checks and measurements using precision measuring instruments.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machine errors effectively.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality machined parts.

**Education and Experience**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in machining or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in VMC machining, programming, and operating.
- **Salary**:

- Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
