We are looking to hire an Digital R&D Process Owner - Compliance in our Digital R&D team based in Bangalore:

R&D Vision to “Innovate Boldly for People and Planet” is underpinned by a requirement to ensure all products launched meet Unilever’s strict safety and regulatory code policies and standards. This vacancy sits within the Digital R&D team where a small team of dedicated people focus specifically on developing and providing the right digital tools to help R&D effectively evaluate the safety and regulatory compliance of products.

These digital tools are used by R&D Scientists across the world to complete, capture and document compliance assessments that provide action driven reports to correct any non-compliance. The tools are continuously monitored to identify enhancements to meet new business requirements and need to be trained out to users so that scientists can routinely use them to check compliance.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is keen to grow and develop their project management, stakeholder management, change management and training capabilities.

Role Profile

The Digital R&D Process Owner plays a critical role in the Compliance programme, having operational responsibility for several digital tools within a ‘sphere of influence’. The programme being broadly divided into 2 parts - ‘safety’ and ‘regulatory’. As the Process Owner you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of specific tools, partnering with the business to evaluate improvements & new requirements as well as sharing your knowledge on how the tools should be used to ensure our products are safe and comply with the relevant policies and standards. Day-to-day responsibilities and tasks are listed below but may evolve in accordance with the programme strategy.

Key Responsibilities- Tool_
- stewardship/ownership_- Product ownership for compliance tools-
- First point of contact for any compliance activities-
- Liaise with Programme Lead for strategic direction, required funding and resources, and escalation of issues-
- Driving Partnerships within R&D_- Identify future requirements and enhancements-
- Liaise with Digital Leads and Subject Matter Experts from the business groups for change management, rollout planning and training-
- Set up & manage tool governance/community of practice meetings-
- Ensuring tools remain future fit_- Liaise with Unilever IT Managers, strategic IT Partners and Service Owners on enhancements, incident management, problem management, cyber security, etc and planning & implementing improvementsOperational Tasks-
- Project management/planning in conjunction with IT Manager for new releases, upgrades etc.-
- Responding to Cyber Security requirements-
- Monitoring User audits and resolving any issues-
- Monitoring incidents and Support Reviews (monthly with IT Manager and monthly with R&D Platform Manager)-
- Leading the Community of Practice & Governance meetings-
- Ensuring tools remains ‘fit for purpose’ and evaluating alternative solutions/improvements i.e. market analysis- Training & Communications_- Creating and updating training materials (Scripts, Guides, Videos etc.)- Leading and resourcing training for new groups of users- Onboarding activities associated with new users including driving the change and raising awareness through communications
- Development and Support_- Prioritising new requirements for Compliance tools- Leading and resourcing testing of new releases and upgrades- Liaising between support teams and users

Skills/ Experience/ Qualifications:
- Significant experience in project management (8-10 years)- Management of complex and challenging projects- Experience in driving business value from systems- Experience in working with cross-cultural/cross-functional/cross-ecosystem teams.- Experience in working with 3rd parties and
