**Job Title: Pipe Welder**

**Location**: Thirumudivakkam,(Site work)

**Reports To**: Supervisor / Project Manager

**Job Type**: Full-Time

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Interpret and work from **blueprints, drawings, and specifications**:

- Weld pipe in various positions (**1G to 6G**) using **TIG, MIG, Stick (SMAW), or Flux-Cored Arc Welding**:

- Fit and align pipe components before welding
- Perform **weld inspections** and quality checks to ensure compliance with standards (ASME, API, etc.)
- Operate welding and cutting tools (e.g., torches, grinders, clamps)
- Maintain and clean welding equipment and work area
- Follow **safety procedures and regulations** to prevent hazards
- Collaborate with pipefitters, foremen, and project managers to meet deadlines
- Maintain documentation of work completed and any issues encountered

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or GED (technical training preferred)
- Proven experience as a **pipe welder** (X years minimum)
- **Certified Welder** (e.g., AWS, ASME Section IX, API 1104)
- Strong knowledge of metallurgy, pipe materials, and welding symbols
- Proficiency in welding **carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy pipes**:

- Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in variable weather conditions
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to pass **weld tests** (visual, x-ray, hydrostatic)

**Preferred Skills**:

- Knowledge of **pipe layout, fabrication, and isometric drawings**:

- Experience with **industrial, commercial, or pipeline welding**:

- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills
- OSHA 10/30 certification is a plus
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
