We are looking for a talented and creative FX Artist with expertise in Houdini to join our VFX team. As an FX Artist, you will be responsible for creating stunning visual effects, simulations, and procedural assets for film, television, or video game productions. You will collaborate closely with other departments to ensure seamless integration of effects into the overall project while maintaining high-quality standards and delivering within production timelines.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Create high-quality particle effects, fluid simulations, rigid body dynamics, and other procedural effects using Houdini.
- Collaborate with 3D modelers, animators, and lighting teams to integrate effects smoothly into the final shots.
- Design and implement procedural workflows for complex visual effects.
- Optimize simulations for rendering efficiency without compromising quality.
- Research and develop innovative techniques for generating realistic simulations such as fire, smoke, explosions, water, and magical effects.
- Provide solutions for technical challenges that arise during the production of complex visual effects.
- Work closely with the VFX Supervisor and team leads to ensure the creative vision is achieved.
- Continuously refine and polish simulations based on feedback from supervisors and directors.
- Ensure timely delivery of effects, meeting the production deadlines.

**Qualifications**:

- Strong proficiency in **Houdini** and its various toolsets for creating VFX.
- Proven experience working on film, TV, or game productions in an FX Artist role.
- Solid understanding of physics-based simulations, including particle systems, fluid dynamics, and destruction effects.
- Experience with procedural workflows and node-based tools in Houdini.
- Familiarity with rendering processes (e.g., Redshift, Mantra, Arnold) and compositing software (e.g., Nuke).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a collaborative environment.
- Ability to adapt to tight production schedules and consistently meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work under pressure.
- Knowledge of other 3D software like **Maya**, **Blender**, or **3ds Max** is a plus.
- Python scripting or VEX knowledge is an advantage.

**Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Animation, VFX, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

**Bonus Skills**:

- Familiarity with real-time VFX workflows for game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity).
- Experience with motion capture and integrating FX into live-action footage.
- Knowledge of procedural terrain generation or crowd simulations.
