Sukoon Health is building out India's first healthcare company that services acute Mental Health issues (Inpatient as well as Out-Patient). Sukoon Health will first focus on setting up a 1000+ beds chain for adult inpatient care across India. Over time, the company is expanding into other segments of de-addiction, child development disabilities, dementia care, etc. Sukoon is well-capitalized and seeking to grow rapidly.

Sukoon is Co-Founded by Vidit Bahri and Kanishk Gupta who have successfully operationalized three state-of-the-art facilities in New Delhi. Sukoon is headed by Saleem Asaria as Executive

Chairman. Saleem has previously built and listed UK’s largest in-patient mental health care provider chain, Cambian, and prior to that had built and scaled UK’s largest senior living organization.

**About the role**

We are looking for an experienced **Nurse **who can provide direct patient care to assigned patients.

Provides quality care and ascertain clean and safe environment. Maintain cordial relationship with members of Health Care Team. Maintains discipline and punctuality.

**Responsibilities**:

- Admission and discharge of patient.
- Orients patients/relatives regarding unit and services.
- Assess/identifies patient’s needs and implements interventions for recovery for IPD/OPD.
- Building rapport with patients/family.
- Combating stigma and helping patients and their families to deal with it.
- Performs following nursing interventions:
Checks and records vital signs (TPR, BP, Pain score).

Patient care procedures like maintaining hygiene, assisting in activities of daily living, sponging, steam inhalation, dressing etc.

Conveying behavioural observation of patients to the clinical team.

Encouraging patients to take part in therapeutic activities.

Compliance checks on diet.

Records intake output chart.

Administers intravenous fluids and medication as prescribed.

Collecting and sending samples/specimen.

ECG

Tube feeding, administers enema/proctoclysis, suctioning care - if required

Transfusion of blood or blood products.

Assists in CPR
- Assists doctors with diagnostic and invasive procedure.
- Performs routine investigations.
- Informs Doctors and in-charges of abnormal reports/findings/incidents.
- Monitors patient at regular intervals as advised.
- Reports and documents all relevant and significant information.
- Provides Health education.
- Ensures proper handing and taking over of patients.
- Maintains inventory of medications, consumables, crash cart, articles and equipment.
- Ensures that monitors and other medical equipment are in functional state.
- Accompanies and observes patient during short leave.
- Maintain documents related to patient care.
- Ensures safe handling of medical equipment and furniture.
- Maintains confidentiality.
- Follows aseptic techniques and infection control measures at all times where ever needed.
- Uses hospital resources judiciously.
- Coordinates with other departments.
- Ensures clean patient unit & environment.
- Any other work assigned by in charge / HOD.

**Educational function**:

- Participates in clinical/incidental teachings and in-services program.
- Supervises and guides new nurses & GDA staff.

**Working Condition**:
Working for long hours, weekend’s holiday’s work involves shift duties. You may be walking, standing, bending and lifting /moving patients. You may also be working closely with agitated patients suffering from behavioural problems or mental illness.

**Qualifications**:

- Degree/Diploma in Nursing. (GNM/BSc Nursing)
- Additional diploma /certificate in mental health nursing or related is preferred.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
