**JOB DESCRIPTION**

1. Use Computer-aided drafting (CAD) Software programs and equipment or a conventional drafting station to create and modify architectural documents, designs, working drawings, forms, charts and records.

2. Analyze current building codes, by-laws and requirements to establish how they effect architectural drawings, and they stay up-to-date on all required and relevant codes.

3. Bring detailed structural, mechanical and electrical designs and create a way or a method of accurately arranging them to product building designs that are understandable and feasible.

4. Draw detailed and rough scale plans for structures, foundations and buildings based upon preliminary concepts, sketches, specification sheets, engineering calculations and other provided data.

5. Design interior room arrangements for commercial buildings using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment and software.

6. Acquire and assemble information needed to finish architectural drawings, visiting job sites when necessary to gather measurements.

7. Oversee, organize and inspect the work of draftspersons, technologists and other relevant team members working on construction projects.

**JOB SKILLS & QUALIFICATION**

1. Associate's degree (DIPLOMA)

2. 1.5 + yrs experience with computer-assisted drawing (CAD) software.

3. 1.5 + yrs experience with Microsoft office, including word, excel and project.

4. Minimum 1 yrs experience with photoshop and InDesign.

5. Outstanding communication skills.

**Preferred**

1. Train and teach others.

2. Make accurate assessments of things, people and services.

3. Develop and build teams.
