Position Overview

The Assistant Professor in Computer will deliver high-quality instruction, engage in innovative research, and contribute to the academic and administrative activities within the Computer Department. This role encompasses teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses, mentoring students, and participating in various departmental initiatives.

Key Responsibilities Teaching and Instruction
- **Course Delivery**: Conduct engaging lectures, seminars, and practical sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- **Material Development**: Create, review, and update course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments.
- **Assessment**: Evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, and laboratory work.
- **Inclusive Environment**: Foster a welcoming and participatory classroom atmosphere to enhance student success.

Research and Scholarly Activities
- **Research Engagement**: Pursue research in fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or Computer Networks.
- **Publication**: Share research findings in peer-reviewed journals and at national/international conferences.
- **Funding**: Seek and manage research funding, write grant proposals, and collaborate with researchers and institutions.
- **Student Supervision**: Mentor postgraduate and doctoral students in their research endeavors.

Curriculum Development
- **Course Design**: Assist in developing and revising course content to align with academic and industry standards.
- **Teaching Strategies**: Contribute to innovative teaching methods and curriculum enhancements.

Student Support
- **Academic Advising**: Provide guidance and mentorship to students regarding academic and career-related inquiries.
- **Extra Assistance**: Offer support through office hours or additional sessions to help students with coursework and projects.

Departmental and Institutional Activities
- **Participation**: Engage in departmental meetings, committees, and academic functions.
- **Administration Support**: Help maintain academic records and assist with various administrative tasks.

Professional Development
- **Continuous Learning**: Stay updated on advancements in Computer science and pedagogical methods.
- **Skills Enhancement**: Participate in workshops, seminars, and conferences to further teaching and research competencies.

**Qualifications**:

- **Educational Background**:

- A master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with first-class honors from a recognized institution.
- A Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level positions.
- **Experience**:

- Prior teaching experience is beneficial but not essential for entry-level positions.
- Demonstrated involvement in research activities and scholarly work is desirable.
- **Skills**:

- Proficiency in modern teaching methodologies and educational technologies.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to design and implement effective instructional materials and strategies.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
