We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Algal Culture Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily care and maintenance of our algal cultures, ensuring their optimal growth and health for research or production purposes.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and sterilize culture media according to established protocols.
- Aseptically maintain and propagate various algal strains using techniques such as subculturing, dilution, batch culture, continuous culture.
- Monitor and maintain optimal growth conditions for assigned algal cultures, including temperature, pH, light intensity, and nutrient levels.
- Conduct routine microscopic examinations to assess algal health and detect contamination.
- Maintain detailed records of culture history, growth parameters, and observations.
- Perform basic troubleshooting to identify and address issues affecting algal growth.
- Clean and sterilize laboratory equipment and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- May participate in research projects involving algal cultures, following guidance from senior researchers.
- Stay up-to-date on best practices for algal culture maintenance.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Zoology or a related field (preferred).
- Freshers are eligible to apply.
- Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and sterile microbiology practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good Writing skills, for example observation note making and experiment documents.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and record-keeping skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

**Desired Skills**:

- Experience with microscopy and basic algal identification.
- Experience with flow cytometry (a plus).
- Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) or equivalent (a plus).

**Salary**: ₹10,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
