**Job Title**: Cardiovascular (CTVS) Technician
**Role and Responsibilities**:
- **Diagnostic Procedures**: Perform various diagnostic procedures related to the cardiovascular system under the supervision of a cardiologist or cardiovascular surgeon. This may include electrocardiograms (ECGs), echocardiograms, stress tests, Holter monitoring, and other specialized tests.
- **Equipment Operation**: Operate and maintain complex medical equipment used in cardiovascular procedures, such as ultrasound machines, stress testing equipment, cardiac catheterization tools, and cardiac monitoring devices.
- **Patient Preparation**: Prepare patients for cardiovascular procedures by explaining the procedures, positioning patients correctly, attaching electrodes or sensors, and ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the process.
- **Data Collection and Analysis**: Accurately collect and record data obtained during cardiovascular procedures. Analyze data for abnormalities or irregularities and report findings to the supervising physician.
- **Assistance in Interventional Procedures**: Assist cardiologists or cardiovascular surgeons during interventional procedures such as cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stent placement, and pacemaker implantation. This may involve preparing sterile fields, passing instruments, and monitoring patients' vital signs.
- **Emergency Response**: Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations during cardiovascular procedures. Perform CPR and other life-saving measures as necessary.
- **Patient Education**: Provide education to patients regarding cardiovascular health, diagnostic procedures, and treatment options. Answer patients' questions and address concerns to alleviate anxiety and promote compliance with medical recommendations.
- **Quality Assurance**: Ensure compliance with established protocols, procedures, and safety standards in all aspects of cardiovascular testing and patient care. Participate in quality assurance initiatives to maintain high standards of patient care and service delivery.
- **Documentation**: Maintain accurate and complete records of all cardiovascular procedures performed, including patient demographics, test results, and any adverse events or complications.
**Qualifications and Requirements**:
- **Education**: Bachelor's degree or associate degree in cardiovascular technology, medical assisting, or a related field. Completion of a certified cardiovascular technology program is preferred.
- **Certification**: Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) is typically required or preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also necessary.
- **Experience**: Previous experience working in a cardiovascular lab or clinical setting is advantageous. Familiarity with cardiovascular procedures and medical terminology is essential.
- **Skills**: Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to interact effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other members of the healthcare team. Attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to work under pressure are also important qualities for success in this role.
- **Physical Requirements**: The job may require standing for extended periods, lifting and positioning patients, and maneuvering heavy equipment, so physical stamina and dexterity are essential
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹38,197.08 per month
