**Key Responsibilities**:
**Inventory Management**:
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels, supplies, and materials.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as necessary to prevent shortages.
- **Receiving and Inspecting Goods**:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, damage, and compliance with purchase orders.
- Document and report any discrepancies or damaged items to suppliers or management.
- **Storage and Organization**:
- Store goods in an organized manner, ensuring that items are easily accessible and properly labeled.
- Implement and maintain a systematic storage system to maximize space and efficiency.
- **Issuing and Distributing Supplies**:
- Issue supplies and materials to staff or departments as needed, ensuring accurate record-keeping of issued items.
- Prepare and package items for distribution or delivery, ensuring they are properly labeled and documented.
- **Record Keeping**:
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, and returns.
- Update inventory management systems regularly to reflect current stock levels and movements.
- **Safety and Compliance**:
- Ensure that the store and storage areas comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Implement and adhere to proper handling, storage, and disposal procedures for hazardous materials.
- **Coordination and Communication**:
- Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and logistics providers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Communicate effectively with other departments and staff to fulfill supply requests and address inventory-related issues.
- **Reporting**:
- Generate and submit regular reports on inventory status, stock levels, and any issues or discrepancies.
- Provide recommendations for improving inventory management and store operations.
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in inventory management, logistics, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a storekeeper, inventory manager, or in a similar role.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy items and stand for extended periods.
- Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations related to storage and inventory management.
**Working Conditions**:
- Primarily based in a warehouse, storage facility, or retail environment.
- Regular interaction with suppliers, vendors, and internal staff.
- Standard working hours, with some flexibility to accommodate peak times, inventory audits, or urgent supply needs.
- Physical demands include lifting, moving, and organizing inventory items.
**Education**:
- Bachelor's (preferred)
