**Bakery Assistant Responsibilities**:

- Creating a welcoming and positive customer experience at the bakery counter.
- Advising customers on baked goods selection and taking orders.
- Weighing, pricing, and packaging purchased items, as well as processing payments.
- Managing the baking ingredients inventory and requesting the purchase of stock.
- Tracking ingredient expiry dates and arranging their use accordingly.
- Monitoring the visual appeal and the availability of baked goods on display.
- Reporting low baked goods stock to the Owner in a timely manner.
- Maintaining a clean and tidy baked goods counter and performing other duties on request.
- Cleaning the kitchen after business hours and preparing it for the next day.
- Managing customer complaints and relaying them to the Baker.
- Take up bakery duties, such as bread making, cake making, cupcake making, and cookie making
- Assist with packaging bakery products
- Dust bakery products
- Carry groceries and bakery products to appropriate storage areas
- Comply with safety regulations relating to the bakery
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proven ability to manage shifts
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Proven customer service experience
- Excellent math and people skills
- Take up cleaning, sanitation, and kitchen maintenance; stock shelves with kitchen items and condiments; open bakery supplies; deliver baked goods to customers; maintain bakery cleanliness
- Insure sales floor, service counter, and bakery is clean
- Prepare and portion dough, cakes, and other baked goods; mix batters; check ingredients for freshness
- Set up bakery for morning and late-night bakery operations
- Inform owner when ingredients or equipment need replacement
- Inform owner when baked goods need to be ordered
- Stock bakery cooler
- Pack baked goods for orders
- Inform manager when baked goods need to be ordered
- Take and make deliveries to schools, businesses, and customers
- Answer customer questions
- Clean and maintain bakery area daily
- Clean and stock bakery area in the morning and evening
- Clean and stock bakery every day
- Open the shop sharp at 9:30 a.m.
- Arranging stand, table chair and start welcoming customers
- Clean the table, chair etc
- Serve the dishes quickly
- Cut the vegetables and stock them to avoid last minute delays
- Wash the dishes properly with soap and keep them clean
- Give bills to the customers
- During free hours take up marketing activities like poster ideas, designs etc
- No mobile phones are allowed during working hours
- Daily carry out trash disposal and ensure smell-free environment
- Keep the standee outside and take it back at night before closing the shop at 7:30 p.m.

**Salary**: ₹150.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 20 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Commission pay
- Yearly bonus
