**Job Summary**:
The Cinema Technician is responsible for the technical operations of the cinema, including the setup, operation, maintenance, and repair of all projection and sound equipment. The technician ensures that all audiovisual presentations meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Equipment Installation and Setup**:

- Install and configure digital projectors, sound systems, and other audiovisual equipment.
- Calibrate projection and sound equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Set up and test new equipment to ensure it functions correctly.

2. **Operation**:

- Operate projection and sound equipment during film screenings and special events.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during screenings to minimize downtime.
- Monitor the performance of audiovisual equipment and make adjustments as necessary.

3. **Maintenance and Repair**:

- Perform regular maintenance on all projection and sound equipment to ensure reliability.
- Diagnose and repair technical issues with audiovisual equipment.
- Maintain a schedule of preventative maintenance tasks to minimize equipment failures.

4. **Technical Support**:

- Provide technical support to cinema staff regarding the operation of audiovisual equipment.
- Train staff on the basic use and troubleshooting of projection and sound systems.

5. **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Report any major technical issues to the cinema manager and recommend solutions.
- Keep an inventory of spare parts and ensure that necessary supplies are stocked.

6. **Compliance and Safety**:

- Ensure that all equipment complies with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Follow health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electronics or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a cinema technician or in a similar technical role.
- Strong understanding of digital projection and sound systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.

**Working Conditions**:

- Primarily indoor work in a cinema environment.
- Occasional exposure to loud noises and dim lighting conditions.
