**Responsibilities**:
**Student Engagement**:Provide individual career counseling to students, assisting them in identifying career goals, interests, and skills.
Conduct workshops and seminars on resume writing, interview skills, and career planning.

**Employer Relationship Management**:Cultivate and maintain relationships with local and national employers to create internship and job opportunities for students.
Collaborate with industry professionals to understand current job market demands.

**Placement Coordination**:Work closely with academic departments to align placement strategies with the curriculum.
Facilitate the placement process, including job postings, interview scheduling, and job offers.

**Career Events and Networking**:Plan and organize career fairs, recruitment drives, and networking events to connect students with potential employers.
Represent Sigma University at industry conferences and events.

**Resume and Interview Preparation**:Conduct mock interviews and provide feedback to students to enhance their interview skills.
Assist students in developing effective resumes, cover letters, and portfolios.

**Database Management**:Maintain a comprehensive database of student profiles, skills, and placement records.
Utilize technology and software tools to efficiently manage placement data.

**Alumni Engagement**:Build and maintain connections with alumni to create mentorship opportunities and gather insights into the job market.
Track the career progress of alumni and use success stories for promotional purposes.

**Compliance and Reporting**:Ensure that placement activities comply with university policies and local labor laws.
Generate reports on placement outcomes for university administration and accreditation purposes.

**Continuous Improvement**:Seek feedback from students, employers, and faculty to enhance the effectiveness of placement programs.
Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate changes to improve placement strategies.

**Collaboration**:Collaborate with other career development services within the university to provide comprehensive support to students.
Work closely with academic advisors to integrate career development into the academic curriculum.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in [relevant field]. Master's degree is a plus.
- 1-2 years of experience in career counseling, placement services, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of industry trends and job market demands.
- Familiarity with relevant technologies and database management.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
