**Job Description:

- **

A CCTV (closed-circuit television) Technician is **responsible for monitoring, diagnosing, installing, configuring, and maintaining CCTV camera systems and their associated components**.
- **Installation**: Setting up and connecting CCTV systems and cabling
- **Maintenance**: Performing routine servicing and maintenance
- **Troubleshooting**: Identifying and fixing faults, or replacing equipment
- **Testing**: Ensuring the system is working properly
- **Monitoring**: Ensuring the surveillance system is functioning properly and responding to alarms
- **Configuration**: Configuring CCTV systems so they are compatible with the necessary software
- **Paperwork**: Completing necessary paperwork and service sheets
- **Safety**: Maintaining health and safety standards
- **Purchasing**: Purchasing materials for each installation project
- **Consulting**: Consulting with customers
- **Supporting**: Providing technical support to end users

Some skills and qualities that are desirable for a CCTV technician include:technical skills, troubleshooting, integrity, teamwork, time management, accuracy, and computer competences.
