About Oneroot

Oneroot is a marketplace for clean, traceable food — we’re building the infrastructure that brings transparency to agricultural supply chains. Through our technology platform and on-ground operations, we empower farmers and buyers with verified, trustworthy data about how food is grown and moved.

We're now integrating AI and computer vision to build a transparency system that verifies on-farm practices and product integrity in real-time.

About the Role

We’re looking for a passionate and driven AI/ML Intern to join our mission-driven team at Oneroot. You’ll work closely with a senior ML engineer to design, develop, and deploy computer vision models that enable traceability and transparency across farms. Your work will directly support our efforts to verify regenerative farming practices, improve quality checks, and create a data-backed marketplace.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in developing deep learning models for plant, object, or activity detection on farms.

Work with large datasets of images and videos collected from our farms.

Build and optimize inference pipelines using FastAPI and Docker.

Help improve traceability workflows by integrating ML outputs into our transparency system.

Collaborate across tech and field teams to identify and solve real-world challenges.

**Requirements**:
Strong understanding of machine learning fundamentals, especially in computer vision.

Proficient in Python and libraries like PyTorch, TensorFlow, and OpenCV.

Experience with tools such as FastAPI, Docker, Pandas, and NumPy.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Willingness to work on-site in a fast-moving, hands-on environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience working on ML projects or internships.

Knowledge of real-time inference or edge computing.

Familiarity with model deployment and REST APIs.

Interest in sustainability, agriculture, or ethical supply chains.
