**Job Summary**:
The Assistant Accounts position supports the accounts and finance team in managing day-to-day financial operations, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The role involves bookkeeping, data entry, and assisting with the preparation of financial reports.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Financial Record Management**:

- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Ensure all transactions are documented and filed appropriately.
- **Invoicing and Payments**:

- Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Reconcile discrepancies in invoices or accounts.
- **Bank Reconciliation**:

- Assist in reconciling bank statements and resolving any discrepancies.
- **Data Entry and Reporting**:

- Enter financial data into accounting software accurately and efficiently.
- Generate reports such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
- **Payroll Assistance**:

- Support payroll preparation by verifying hours, deductions, and other details.
- Ensure timely and accurate disbursement of salaries.
- **Compliance and Auditing**:

- Assist in preparing documents for internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations.
- **General Administrative Support**:

- Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed.
- Handle correspondence related to financial matters.

**Key Skills and Competencies**:

- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or Xerox).
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
- 1-3 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
- Familiarity with local tax laws and financial regulations is a plus.

**Work Environment**:

- Office-based role with standard business hours.
- May require occasional overtime during financial closing periods or audits.
