**What’s the role**
As Vendor Operations Advisor, you provide operational support for customer inquiries and troubleshoot service execution issues related to vendor performance. Your focus is on managing vendor operations, resolving supply chain challenges such as equipment deliveries and inventory management, reconciling invoices, and driving continuous improvement. You work closely with internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure Shell’s service commitments to customers are met.
**What you’ll be doing**
- Respond to Tier 1 customer inquiries related to vendor issues and challenges.
- Manage weekly/monthly vendor operations calls, driving quick resolution of open issues and continuous improvement.
- Perform vendor reconciliation on invoices.
- Support supply chain-related activities, including service equipment and parts deliveries, inventory management, and troubleshooting.
- Utilize available tools and platforms to measure challenges, generate insights, and connect with vendors and product owners to resolve issues and improve customer success rates.
- Use customer feedback to drive improvements with applicable vendors.
- Engage routinely with product owners to support development plans and roadmaps.
- Collect and analyze data regularly, working with third parties and markets to create useful insights and actions across the team.
**What you bring**
- Bachelor's degree in engineering with minimum 5+ years of work experience in vendor negotiation, contract management, and system setup.
- Experience in supply chain and product lifecycle management (PLM) activities.
- Strong experience in vendor negotiation and contract management.
- Effective written and oral communication skills for internal and external interactions.
- Technical knowledge to support vendor contract negotiation, system setup, and performance management.
- Understanding of end-to-end processes; knowledge of B2B lubricants, equipment, operating environments, and services is a plus.
- Project management skills with strong attention to detail.
- Commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders and hold vendors accountable for performance.
