Mill Wright Fitter

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Installation & Assembly**:

- Install, align, and assemble machinery and heavy industrial equipment such as pumps, conveyors, turbines, compressors, etc.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manuals to ensure proper installation.
- **Maintenance**:

- Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical systems to ensure machine uptime.
- Identify potential mechanical issues and repair or replace faulty components (bearings, gears, shafts, etc.).
- Inspect equipment for proper functioning and safety standards.
- **Troubleshooting & Repair**:

- Diagnose mechanical faults and recommend solutions.
- Repair machinery and mechanical systems, replacing worn-out parts or performing adjustments.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to locate problems in machines.
- **Testing & Calibration**:

- Test machinery after repairs or installations to ensure proper performance.
- Calibrate machines and equipment to manufacturers’ specifications.
- **Safety Compliance**:

- Follow all safety protocols and ensure that work is done safely.
- Identify and mitigate hazards during mechanical work.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

**Required Skills & Competencies**:

- Proficient in using hand and power tools for fitting and assembly.
- Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with welding, fabrication, and precision fitting.
- Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of safety standards in an industrial setting.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Certification in Millwright or Mechanical Fitting (preferred).
- 2-5 years of experience as a Millwright Fitter in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
