- Source, negotiate, and purchase raw materials such as paper, inks, chemicals, plastic films, and other materials for printing and packaging.
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, ensuring timely delivery and competitive pricing.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure materials are ordered in time to avoid stockouts or production delays.
- Analyze pricing and negotiate to secure the best deals while maintaining product quality standards.
- Work closely with the quality control team to ensure purchased materials meet required specifications.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, track order status, and ensure timely deliveries. Maintain accurate records of purchases, vendor contracts, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare and present purchase reports for senior management. Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards.
- Conduct supplier evaluations based on cost, quality, delivery time, and service levels.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Proven experience in purchasing, preferably in the printing, packaging, or manufacturing industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of materials, production processes, and supply chain management. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Experience with ERP systems and sustainable sourcing practices is a plus.
- Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CIPS) is preferred.
