Maintenance Technician

**Position Overview**:
A Maintenance Engineer in a Press Shop is a crucial role responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and repair of various mechanical equipment, machinery, and tools used in the press shop of a manufacturing facility. The press shop is where metal components are fabricated, pressed, or stamped into various shapes and forms, and the Maintenance Engineer plays a vital role in keeping the production process running efficiently and safely. Should be capable of carrying out mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic maintenance and repairs work.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Equipment Maintenance: _

Perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on press machines, mechanical presses, hydraulic presses, punch presses, die sets, and other related equipment. This includes identifying potential issues, troubleshooting problems, and replacing or repairing faulty components.
- Breakdown Management:_

Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergencies. Diagnose the root cause of failures, implement corrective actions, and work to minimize downtime to ensure continuous production.
- Calibration: _

Ensure the calibration of press machines and measuring instruments used in the press shop to maintain precision and accuracy in metal forming operations.
- Safety Compliance:_

Enforce and adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines. Conduct safety inspections to identify hazards and take corrective actions to prevent accidents.
- Spare Parts Management: _

Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts and order new components when needed. Coordinate with the procurement department to ensure timely availability of spare parts.
- Training: _

Train and guide machine operators and other staff members on basic maintenance tasks and safe machine operation practices.
- Documentation: _

Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance. Generate reports on equipment maintenance and share updates with relevant stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: _

Suggest and implement improvements to enhance equipment performance, reduce downtime, and increase overall productivity.
- Compliance: _

Ensure adherence to relevant industry standards, environmental regulations, and quality control measures.
- Team Collaboration: _

Collaborate with production teams, engineers, and management to optimize processes and resolve technical issues.
- Required Skills and Qualifications:_
- Education: A degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is typically required.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of press machines, mechanical presses, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and related mechanical equipment. Familiarity with press tooling and die sets is advantageous.
- Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues effectively and efficiently.
- Safety Consciousness: Strong understanding of safety regulations and the ability to enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing data, identifying patterns, and making data-driven decisions.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams effectively.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

**Salary**: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
