- Transactions: Process transactions using cash registers, scan items, and ensure prices are correct.
- Payments: Collect payments in cash or credit, and issue receipts, refunds, change, or tickets.
- Coupons and stamps: Redeem stamps and coupons.
- Product information: Cross-sell products and introduce new ones.
- Complaints: Resolve customer complaints and provide relevant information.
- Checkout area: Maintain a clean and tidy checkout area.
- Packages: Bag, box, or gift-wrap packages.
- Returns: Handle merchandise returns and exchanges.
- Loyalty plans: Promote customer loyalty plans.
- Training: Train and develop new cashiers.
- Stocking: Help with stocking and other duties as needed
