Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:

- Greet and identify patients, explain the blood drawing process, and alleviate any concerns or fears.
- Verify patient information and ensure accurate labeling of blood samples.
- Perform venipuncture to collect blood samples for diagnostic testing, transfusions, or research.
- Utilize proper techniques to maintain the integrity of collected blood samples and prevent contamination.
- Monitor patients for any adverse reactions during or after the blood collection process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the sterilization of equipment.
- Label and store blood samples according to established protocols.
- Collaborate with the laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate processing of blood samples.
- Keep accurate records of patient interactions, including details of blood collections and any issues encountered.
- Follow all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Phlebotomist.
- Certification in Phlebotomy is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of venipuncture techniques and blood collection procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate and patient-focused with the ability to work with diverse patient populations.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and understanding of laboratory procedures.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Knowledge of safety and infection control practices.
