**Job Role**:
We are looking for a QA Automation Tester to help us ship software with confidence. As a member of the core engineering team, you will write automation code, help in minimizing the amount of manual effort required of the team for each release. You will verify new functionality that spans our core product and its interaction with other software like Zendesk, Jira etc. You will partner with developers to ensure adequate feature coverage and proper testing methodology and also build the QA team in the future.

**Responsibilities**:

- Understanding project documents, customer demands, and product objectives to create and execute test cases.
- Understanding the flow of code/data and how it interacts with different components.
- Help improve product documentation by pointing out gaps.
- Perform manual regression, bug and feature testing based on test cases.
- Deep-dive into hard-to-troubleshoot issues to narrow reproduction steps.
- Maintaining, performing and improving test automation frameworks for API/Web, building test scenarios and acceptance tests.
- Perform automation framework and scripts troubleshooting.
- Participate in peer automation code and test cases reviews.
- Managing the final quality on production release.

**Requirements**:

- At ease with a Linux or MacOS terminal and some kind of development environment.
- 1-2 yrs of experience as QA engineer or in a relevant role.
- Ability to triage problems and skill at grokking at log files.
- Knowledge of test methodologies and their corresponding tools.
- Fluent in Java
- Should have basic knowledge of database and SQL queries
- Should have basic knowledge of postman and Rest APIs
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies as and when required
- Familiar with Cloud based infrastructure and containers etc.
- A passion for testing, development, and design.
