## **Key Responsibilities**:

- **Counseling Support**: Provide one-on-one counseling to students facing academic, emotional, or personal challenges. Assist students in resolving issues that may affect their academic performance or mental well-being.
- **Career Guidance**: Help students understand their strengths and career aspirations, offering guidance in choosing the right courses, certifications, and career paths within the IT industry.
- **Academic Monitoring**: Regularly monitor students' progress, conduct follow-up meetings to track their academic performance, and provide suggestions for improvement when necessary.
- **Workshops and Seminars**: Conduct group sessions, workshops, and seminars to address common concerns such as stress management, exam preparation, time management, and career planning.
- **Student Engagement**: Create an open and supportive environment for students, encouraging them to discuss their academic and personal issues. Develop strategies to enhance student participation and retention.
- **Crisis Management**: Provide immediate support in times of student crises, whether personal or academic, and refer students to appropriate external support services as needed.
- **Confidentiality and Documentation**: Maintain confidential records of counseling sessions and report student progress to the management team as required.
- **Collaboration with Faculty**: Work closely with the faculty to identify students who may need additional academic or emotional support, and collaborate on solutions to improve their overall experience.
- **Parental Communication**: Engage with parents (with students' consent) to discuss academic progress, personal challenges, and potential solutions.

## **Qualifications**:

- **Educational Qualification**: Minimum **Graduate** in Psychology, Counseling, Education, or a related field.
- **Experience**: Minimum of **1 to 2 years** of experience as a student counselor, preferably in an educational environment (computer education experience is a plus).
- **Certification**: Additional certification in counseling, psychology, or related fields will be an advantage.
## **Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience in counseling students in the field of **education** or **technology training**.
- Knowledge of student counseling practices in computer science/technology institutes.
- Familiarity with **online counseling platforms** and tools is a plus.
## **Working Conditions**:

- Full-time position with working hours from **9:00 AM to 6:00 PM**, Monday to Saturday.
- Occasional weekend work may be required based on student engagement or events.
- The work will primarily be in-office at the institute, with possible virtual counseling for remote students.
