Job Title: Computer Engineering Faculty

**Job Description**:
The Computer Engineering Faculty position involves teaching a variety of computer engineering courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, depending on the institution's needs. The faculty member will contribute to curriculum development, engage in scholarly activities such as research and publication, provide academic advisement to students, and participate in departmental and university service activities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in computer engineering, including but not limited to digital systems design, computer architecture, embedded systems, computer networks, and software engineering.
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and instructional methods to enhance student learning and engagement.
- Provide academic advisement and mentorship to students pursuing degrees in computer engineering, including assistance with academic and career planning.
- Engage in scholarly activities, including research, publication, and presentations at conferences, in areas relevant to computer engineering.
- Participate in departmental and university service activities, such as committee work, curriculum development, and accreditation efforts.
- Contribute to the ongoing assessment and improvement of the computer engineering program.
- Stay current with developments in the field of computer engineering through professional development activities and involvement in relevant professional organizations.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that values diversity and promotes student success.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the department and across disciplines to enhance teaching and research opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the department chair or dean.

Qualifications:

- A Ph.D. in computer engineering, MasterInEngineering, MasterInTechnology with a focus on computer engineering, or a closely related field is typically required for a tenure-track faculty position. A master's degree may be sufficient for some teaching-focused or adjunct positions.
- Demonstrated expertise in computer engineering, with a record of scholarly achievements such as publications, presentations, and funded research, preferably in areas such as digital systems design, computer architecture, or embedded systems.
- Previous teaching experience at the college or university level is highly desirable, along with evidence of effective teaching and student engagement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse students, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
- Commitment to promoting an inclusive learning environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Ability to contribute to curriculum development, program assessment, and accreditation activities in computer engineering.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools and programming languages commonly used in computer engineering education and research.
- Membership in relevant professional organizations and active involvement in the computer engineering community is advantageous.
