Responsibilities:
1. API Design and Development: Design, develop, and document APIs following industry best practices and standards. Ensure APIs are robust, scalable, and easily maintainable.
2. API Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of APIs, from conception to deployment, versioning, and deprecation. Implement appropriate version control and ensure backward compatibility.
3. API Security and Governance: Implement security measures, including authentication, authorization, and encryption, to protect APIs and sensitive data. Establish governance policies for API usage and adherence to compliance requirements.
4. API Gateway Configuration: Configure and manage API gateways to handle incoming API requests, enforce policies, and control traffic flow.
5. Troubleshooting and Support: Identify and resolve issues related to API functionality, performance, and integration. Provide support to internal and external developers using the APIs.
6. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest API technologies, trends, and best practices. Continuously improve API processes and standards to enhance overall efficiency.

**Requirements**:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as an IBM API Connect Specialist or similar API management platform.
3. Strong knowledge of API design principles, RESTful architecture, and API security standards.
4. Proficiency in programming languages such as Node.js, JavaScript, or Java.
5. Experience with API gateway technologies
6. Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization technologies.
7. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
8. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex API-related issues.
9. Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail.
10. Experience with IBM API Connect administration and deployment is a plus

**Job Type**: Temporary
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: ₹100,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month

- Bangalore, Karnataka: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- IBM API Connect: 5 years (preferred)
- API Gateway: 5 years (preferred)
